- Signals become incidents. Alerts and ISE’s own observations flow onto owned incidents with a canonical severity ladder — not another unread notification stream.
- Governed change. Proposed change → approval → execution → audit, for every write, on every system. The most sensitive actions always need a human approver.
- Pre-approved response. Published playbooks let responders execute known fixes from a guided incident page, inside server-enforced limits.
